On 21 April there will be an Adopt a Day at the Riebeeckstad Primary School, from 12:30 to 15:00.
Adopt A Day is when a school invites parents to come to the school to donate blood on behalf of their children, because they are under aged.
The parent and the learner then receive a gift as a token of appreciation.
Blood can also be donated at the Welkom Donor Centre (Mondays to Saturdays) at The Strip Building, Shop 38, Stateway.
Each unit of blood donated saves three lives.
