To raise funds for children in need of life-saving operations, who could otherwise not afford it, Dr André Hattingh of Pediatric Care Africa will take on an incredible journey.

Hattingh will ride through six provinces for not less than 3 500 km on a Mahindra tractor with trailer as part of the Pediatric Care Africa On-Trac–Tor 2024 charity fundraising campaign.

On 27 and 28 July, Hattingh will be in Welkom.

His world record tractor ride attempt will commence at Mahindra Nelspruit on Sunday, 21 July, at 09:00 and end at the same branch on Sunday, 11 August, at about 13:00.

This extraordinary tractor ride is going to happen without a support vehicle and other persons riding with as any form of technical support.

This record attempt will be lodged with Record Setters in the USA for evaluation and verification.

If accepted, they will officiate the record attempt and issue an official world record certificate.

Join Hattingh en-route into Welkom and find out more about the campaign. Come with your tractor, plough, car or bike to Rhino’s Rest at 16:30 on Saturday, 27 July, and form a convoy as he travels to the Goldfields Casino Conference Centre.

Here, at 18:00, Hattingh will be telling more about this initiative, and how he can be assisted in helping children in need.
