Khahliso Mary Mabitle (38) from Odendaalsrus was granted bail of R500 after allegedly orchestrating her own fake kidnapping. After interrogation a case of fraud and defeating the ends of justice was registered.
“This arrest will send a strong message that nobody can fake his or her kidnapping and be ignored. She will be facing the full might of the law,” says Capt. Stephen Thakeng, Lejweleputswa police spokesperson.
