The homes of two known drug dealers were targeted and four people were arrested during an organised operation in Kutloanong, Odendaalsrus.
On 23 June, Col Thenjiwe Mkhumbenithe, station commander of Odendaalsrus, and her team, in conjunction with the Welkom K9 unit, organised an operation to specifically deal with houses known to be selling drugs.
At the first house, police confiscated 557 g of dagga. The homeowner, a 25-year-old woman, was arrested for possession of dagga.
At the second house, police confiscated 4 g of cocaine, 41 g of the drug Khat, 170 g of crystal meth, and 301 g of dagga. A 30-year-old foreign national was arrested for dealing in drugs.
In another incident, a 30-year-old man was arrested for dealing in drugs, and a 28-year-old man was arrested for being in possession of drugs and a dangerous weapon. Mandrax tablets and 9 g of crystal meth were seized.
