Growing into a greater threat
The widening fissure in the road on the bridge at the entrance to Odendaalsrus (R34) is becoming more dangerous. Cllr Estelle Dansey says she has received many enquiries. “I have reported this to the provincial government at the end of April, and followed up again on 4 May. I sent a request to the director of infrastructure on 5 May for urgent intervention from the Matjhabeng Municipality, to close the road temporarily until repairs have been done. I urge all residents and road users to avoid this road to prevent damage to your vehicles and injuries,” says Dansey.
