Anonymous, Golding Street, Bronville:

I read a letter in a recent Vista, written by an elderly resident regarding the unreasonable noise caused by one of his neighbours.

We are a young couple who live in the same street, and vouch that this noise has persisted from November until now. It always starts at 01:00, and it is as though these people always come just when all the other gathering spots have closed.

I can see that this matter has already been reported to the police, yet nothing is happening. I do not stay far from where the noise is being made – yet when it plays, it is as though it is happening right next door to me.

As stated in the previous letter, two cases have been opened and follow-ups made, but still the police are not helpful, even when the resident mentioned that his wife suffers from poor health.

Even after the letter was published, the noisy neighbour continues entertaining guests. I just want to understand how the law can allow such bad behaviour and permit someone to host such gatherings.

How are all the cases the suffering neighbour opened, not listed on the court’s system? I am curious as to where residents of Bronville can find assistance, since it is clear that the legal system and its officials are failing us.

I just hope someone can come help those people staying close to the person causing all this noise.
