Runners of Harmony Striders participated in the Mielie Marathon held in Welkom on Saturday (21/01).
The event took place over 5 km, 10 km, 21,1 km and 42,2 km in and around Welkom.
Melinda Pretorius and Reghardt Bester ran the 5 km.
The 10 km was completed by Anchen Jacobs, Antoinette Bothma, Barbara Pretorius, Charmaine Nortier, Chris Nortier, Estelle Henrico, Frans Kapp, Hendrie du Plessis, Johan Pretorius, Koos Mokau, Luzanne Venter, Micheal Molahloe, Michelle Venter, Noelene Botes, Nico Dicks, Rina Nel, Sonja Meyer, Yvonne Visagie, Thabo Tsotetsi, Zelna-May van Rooyen, Lientjie Blom and Sheriah Rose.
The half marathon, over 21,1 km, was completed by Andre Els, Braam Tsotetsi, Hendre van Dyk, Luzelle Stoltz, Maryke van Wyk, Meshack Lepele, Pule Leepo, Riaan van Wyk, Riaaz Harris, Teboho Sekhutshoanyane, Lebohang Lala, Potlako Sekokotana, Refiloe Simang and Benedict Tsenoli.
The marathon, over 42,2km, was completed by Cornelius Visagie, Charl de Coning, Daemane Makhate, Daniel Pienaar, Deon Lodder, Gordon Lodder, Muso Molefi, Amelia du Plessis, Matthews Mussimango, Morne Nel and Pierre Spurr.
The Harmony Striders will present the Valentine Night Race on 10 February, starting from Welkom Square. Runners will take on a 10 km distance at 18:30, and the 4 km fun run is set to start at 18:35.
