Additionally, one of their players was selected to form part of a team representing South Africa in Croatia, during the Spar National Netball Championship.
The championship took place between 7 and 13 August at the Potchefstroom University.
The players from the U21 and the Seniors team took part in trials, and finally a team of twelve U21 Lejweleputswa players was selected.
“They only trained for three days, which was actually insufficient, but they did their best. They ended in third position,” says Lea Jacobs, the U21 team’s coach.
