A lifeless body of a woman was found at an open field in Phumlani Cemetery.

The police in Thabong have intensified investigations to trace the suspects and relatives of an unknown woman found murdered on Sunday, 25 February.

They were called to the scene where the body was found, noting that the victim had sustained multiple stab wounds to the body and her throat slashed.

She was certified dead by the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel.

The deceased is estimated to be roughly 30 years old, light in complexion, medium built, average in height, and with short hair. She was wearing blue jeans, a yellow t-shirt, and no shoes. Next to the body was a wig and a white cap.

Nobody has come forward to claim the deceased as the body is still at the Welkom Government Morgue. There were no blood stains at the scene, so it is suspected that she was murdered elsewhere and then dumped near the cemetery.

Anyone with information that will help trace suspects or relatives of the deceased, should contact Det. Const. Thabiso Senatla of Thabong Serious and Violent Crimes on 081-431-5484, the Crime Stop number 08600-10111, or the MySAPS App anonymously.
