Ziyaduma Arts Promotions has initiated a free outdoor and open air awareness performances of drama, poetry, dance and music in different wards in Thabong.
This is part of its outreach program of motivating, mobilising and encouraging the community, municipality, business sector and relevant government structures and departments to support learn and the appreciation of the arts.
The first event was held in Ward 15 in Sokayi Street in Thabong East on Saturday, 29 June.
The event, which was attended by members, parents and neighbours of the community, inspired many as it also served as a youth month wrap up event.
“Similar outreach programmes will be held quarterly in different wards in Thabong,” said Saduma Miya, arts promoter and founder of Ziyaduma. “Other cultural groups are also invited and encouraged to take part for their exposure and development.”
