The Tshepile Sempe School Shoes Drive 2024 recently donated school shoes to the identified needy learners at the Dirisanang and Hlohlo Primary School in Thabong.

The late Tshepile Sempe (1970-2019) is the inspiration behind the project.

Sempe was a gentle giant who had a soft spot for schoolchildren. Every year he used his own money and approached some of his friends to buy pairs of school shoes for school children in need of such across Matjhabeng.

He was by no means a wealthy man, but was still sympathetic to those less fortunate than himself.

After he passed away in May 2019, his deeds inspired his friends to continue his legacy.

“The Sempe family invites you to participate in the annual Tshepile Sempe School Shoes Drive. Your donation will go a long way in helping a needy learner put his or her best foot forward,” says Keke Ntsala.

Those looking to help a needy learner can contact Ntsala by sending email to kekeletsontsala@gmail.com or dialing 079-630-9933.

Ntsala says the aim is to raise enough funds to support primary school boys and girls.

“Deserving Matjhabeng schools will be the beneficiaries of this initiative,” she says.
