The Lejweleputswa district’s employees of the police’s Health and Wellness division were awarded with certificates during a Casual Day award ceremony in Welkom.

The event was held at the Leboneng Special School on Friday (19/05) and was graced by the provincial police marching band who entertained the school’s learners along with guests from different schools in Welkom.

The awards were presented to WO Cethekile Kunene (social worker) for her contributions to Casual Day, and Capt. Serame Polori (social worker) who received an award on behalf of all police members.

“It is clear that the police do not just arrest but have a caring hand, especially to persons with disabilities,”says Capt. Stephen Thakeng. media liaison officer for the Lejweleputswa police.
