The police in Welkom are looking for two suspects after a foreign national man (39) was fatally shot in front of his home.
The incident happened on 25 September in Reitzpark, Welkom.
According to reports, members attached to the Welkom police responded to a shooting incident that occurred at 19:00. Upon their arrival, the police found a man on the ground with three gunshot wounds to his chest, forehead, and under his right ear.
The deceased was shot outside his residence.
“He was on his way to work when two African males with a Lesotho accent fatally shot him in front of his colleague, who was waiting in the car,” says Capt. Loraine Earle, provincial police spokesperson.
No arrests have been made yet and the circumstances surrounding the murder are still being investigated.
