The police are looking for the relatives of a man who was found dead in Welkom. His body was found with a rope around his neck, fastened to a tree in Jan Hofmeyer Road near Intermine Services on 28 January.
Nobody has come forward to claim the body, and it is still being kept at the Welkom mortuary. He is estimated to be older than 30 years, about 1,8 m tall, with a medium-sized build. He was found wearing a red T-shirt, green trousers and black flip flop shoes.
A case of inquest has been registered for further investigation.
