Welkom’s own DJ Taaibos has been nominated for the upcoming 22nd annual, international Southern Entertainment Awards (SEAs) which will be held in the city of Atlanta, Georgia, in America on 18 May.
Taaibos is nominated in the Internet/Streaming DJ Of The Year category, where he is competing against other nominated DJs from across America and other countries.
He will be representing South Africa as the country’s only nominee.
The SEA is amongst the most respected award ceremonies in America, with notable recipients being Nicki Minaj, B.O.B, Yo Gotti, and DJ Drama.
Taaibos, who is from the Vergenoeg suburb in Welkom, matriculated at the Lebogang Secondary School in Thabong and is a former Information Technology (IT) student at the Universal College Outcomes (UCO) College.
As the founder and owner of the BellaDiosa Talent and Sports Agency, he is also one of the most recognised modelling agents across South Africa.
His models come from Welkom, Virginia, Bloemfontein, Pretoria, and Johannesburg and have appeared on TV in different projects and shows with a number of different national celebrities in their music videos. These models have also been doing well in various pageants they entered.
Additionally, Taaibos is one of the founding members of the now-defunct The Rock FM radio station in Welkom and is a former resident DJ at Cosmo FM in Johannesburg, Bokamoso FM in Maseru, and Motheo FM in Bloemfontein.
Taaibos has his music available on all digital music stores and social media platforms, and also on different radio stations in different countries.
His house song titled “Our Time (Pt 1 of 2)” is now streaming globally.
