Elrico Kleinkie (24), a former learner of Welkom-Gimnasium, has attained his Masters of Law degree (LLM) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN).
His dissertation comprised the examination of whether the relevant provisions of the Banks Act 94, the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), the National Credit Act (NCA), and the Financial Sector Regulation Act are robust enough to securely and comprehensively regulate the use of stokvels, to ensure consumer protection for low income earners in many parts of South Africa is enhanced.
He is the son of Sr Ellen Kleinkie.
