Each year many organisations honour Mandela Day by doing 67 minutes of charity work.

It marks a minute for every year former president Nelson Mandela spent in service to others.

This year the Mpho Botha Foundation (MBF) had an outreach to the House of Hope and House of Love projects in Welkom, giving donations from various individuals around the Lejweleputswa district.

“We also had representatives from Miss Lejweleputswa and Miss Teen Tourism. With this planting of seed, the MBF envisions a future where every day is a Mandela Day,” says Katleho Letsaba, MBF representative.

“We are sending special thanks to Morakane Motheke of the department of housing development, as well as everyone that contributed to this initiative,” he says.

People who would like to contribute towards the MBF, can contact Letsaba on 082-624-1915.
