A young girl in Thabong died when an external geyser fell on her.
The mounted geyser fell on the child (8) while she was playing near it.
“The girl was playing in the yard on Thursday, 6 February, when a mounted outdoor geyser allegedly fell on her.
“The police were called to a house in Thabong, where they found the body of an eight-year-old girl,” Free State police spokesperson, Capt. Lorraine Earle, said.
“Reports indicate that she was under a mounted geyser when it suddenly fell and hit her.”
Emergency medical services (EMS) personnel were called to the scene, and pronounced the child dead on arrival.
The Welkom police are investigating an inquest.
