S.J.B. Viviers, Welkom:
After reading JC Erasmus’ letter in the Vistaof 2 February, it was great having positive news about Home Affairs in Welkom.
I have a friendly request that you please print my experience of the Traffic Department of Virginia as well.
I had to renew my driving licence in March 2022, but was sent home by an official at the door. I am 75 years old and use a walker.
He explained that the system was not working and that it was no use to enter the building.
He signed his name on my application and said I could use it as proof that I had been there.
In May 2022 I went back and paid after the admin and eye test were done.
Up to the day that I am writing this letter, I have not been phoned. Nobody answers the phone at all.
I have been back a few times, but nobody has any news, even while their system is operating.
It has been seven months now. All I have is a receipt and no driving licence.
Can we please bring this to the attention of someone in a senior position at the Virginia Traffic Department?
