A total of 11 learners of Welkom-Gimnasium have been selected as finalists in the 2022 Food and Beverages Institute (FBI) School Chef of the Year competition for the Free State and Northern Cape.
FBI has held these competitions for the past 15 years and Gimnasium is the school that has produced the most successful entries during this time. Gimnasium is also the only school so far to have 11 finalists qualifying for this round. Their teacher is Helené Rossouw.
The final round takes place on Saturday (30/07) in Bloemfontein.
