Young scientists of the Setshabelo Primary School took part in two science quizzes, the Natural Sciences Quiz and the Enviroquiz hosted by the Department of Economic, Small Business development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (Destea), from 23 to 27 October.
The Setshabelo Primary School is the provincial winner of the Natural Sciences Quiz. The one school team maintained third position and the other team fourth out of 120 learners across the Free State.
For the Enviroquiz, the team occupied the fourth spot out of 1 400 teams across the Free State. They won prizes, medals, certificates, and cash prizes sponsored by the departments of Education, and Water and Sanitation Affairs, as well as Old Mutual, Sun and Windmill casino and Destea.
