The competition began on Saturday, 30 July, and wasthe competition held virtually.

“Participants had to submit clips with their business ideas – existing or not existing. That was the first entry, which is the local level.

“This included about 100 schools where learners had to fight their way out and show-case their business ideas to be shortlisted,” says Sello Dhlamini, the group’s mentor.

The competition then progressed to district level where two groups in the Free State qualified.

Reitumetse Getrude Ntsiane, a Gr. 12 learner, produces fast food at the school. She bakes pancakes for learners and prepare sandwiches for teachers. Reitumetse is about to represent the province in the next level of the competition, which will also be held virtually.
