Welkom can truly be proud – not only did the Welkom Police Station
come second overall in the category Police Station of the Year during
the Provincial Excellence Awards 2024-’25, but the Welkom Community Policing Forum came third in the category best CPF.
The awards were held at the Woodlands Country Lodge in Parys on 14 January.
“Congratulations to Brig. Disebo Cezula and the entire Welkom SAPS team on this outstanding achievement, and also Dirk Kotze, chairman of the CPF and the Welkom CPF on your outstanding achievements,” says Elizabeth Nunes, publicity relations officer for the Welkom CPF.
Nunes says these achievements reflect the dedication, commitment and hard work of all
involved in serving the community.
