The gruesome discovery of the body a young woman with her throat slit has sent shock waves through the community of Kutloanong.
The body was found on 31 August by a resident of a farm near the K10 Section of Kutloanong, who was busy cutting wood.
“The deceased could be 28 years old. She was wearing a wedding ring, and her clothes were scattered at the scene. Her throat was slit and it is suspected that she was raped,” says Capt. Stephen Thakeng, media liaison officer for the Lejweleputswa police.
The police are investigating this as a murder case. “Nobody has been reported missing and we are appealing to anyone who might have lost a relative to please report this to the Odendaalsrus Police Station,” says Thakeng.
