“It has always been our dream to put a smile on our kids’ faces, so that they can enjoy school.”
So says Zukiswa Tom, a local businesswoman who is part of a group of business people dedicated to helping children in need.
The team of dedicated people comprises Tom, director of Ofeoage, Thandi Mpinga, director of Mbokodo Enterprise, and Jumbo Tsotetsi, founder of Jumbo on Point.
“We all have our own companies, and last year we decided to come together and help needy children. The aim is to register as a non-profit organisation (NPO) to make this a reality,” says Tom.
Two of the schools they visited last week are the Thembekile Primary School in Thabong – where they met the teachers Andiswa Qunta and Mosadi Leburu – and the Daluvuyo Primary School in Motsethabong, where they met teacher Lineo Khiba.
