As winter slowly retreats, I am filled with anticipation for springtime with its fresh birth to warmer days, blossoms, and the sense of new beginnings. This rings true for us humans as well, as we navigate our way through the seasons of life.

Many bring hardships, loss, and times of great personal struggle. It is then when we need to cling to the knowledge that seasons are never permanent and will give way to times of great provision, joy, and personal victories.

Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us that there is a time for everything under the heavens.

Winter is a necessary time for rest and should prepare us for times of growth and abundance.

in Philippians 4:11-13, Paul says: “I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”

As years go by, we can look back and see the faithfulness of God and confess the same. Seasons are never meant to stay and cause stagnation. Thus, we too should always move towards something greater.

In all this we have a saviour, Jesus Christ, who remains constant in every season of our lives. Hebrews 13:8 says: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” What a comfort it is to know His faithfulness and goodness will continue to carry us in every season of our lives. We have every reason to praise him.
