The Thabong police are investigating a case of culpable homicide following the death of an 18-year-old man in a road accident on Sunday, 28 September.
“At approximately 07:08, the police were summoned to an accident scene near the Tisha Vanga bypass in Thabong. On arrival they discovered a white Toyota Corolla, which had allegedly overturned, with its occupants landing outside the vehicle,” says Sgt. Palesa Thabana, spokesperson for the Lejweleputswa SAPS.
“Emergency medical services were alerted and an 18-year-old, alleged to be the driver of the vehicle, was declared dead. Four other occupants were taken to the local hospital with serious injuries.
“According to information, the occupants of the vehicle had been returning from a local entertainment event in Riebeeckstad when the vehicle they were traveling in overturned.”
Circumstances leading to the motor vehicle accident will form part of police investigations.
