A promising learner and leader of the Riebeeckstad High School has been appointed to the executive of the Lejweleputswa Circuit 2 representative council of learners (RCL) as vice-secretary.
Opelong Makhaya was appointed on 10 February.
This is a significant development for young leadership, and recognises Makhaya’s dedication to representing the interests and voices of learners within the circuit. Her role is pivotal in maintaining efficient communication and documentation within the RCL, ensuring that learner concerns and initiatives are effectively managed.
Makhaya’s appointment has been met with enthusiasm and support from peers and educators alike, who acknowledge the leadership qualities and commitment demonstrated throughout their involvement in student affairs.
