“This race is not only a test of physical endurance, but also a test of mental toughness. We know that each of our runners has been training hard and tackled the challenges that came with an ultramarathon. We are proud of our team and are confident that each one of you will represent GMS with pride and determination,” says Pedrie Erasmus, GMS chairman.
“Congratulations to all our runners who took part in the Two Oceans ultramarathon that took place this past weekend. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you for taking on this incredible challenge and pushing yourself to the limit,” Erasmus continues.
He attests to all of the GMS athletes’ hard training.
“You faced the challenges of this race head-on. From the start where you had to emerge through the shadows in the streets due to load shedding, or conquer those gruelling hills of Chapman’s Peak or Constantia Nek – you emerged victorious.
“As a club, we are honoured to have such a fantastic group of runners who support and inspire each other, and make our community stronger.”
