The House of Hope Project in Welkom started on 1 June 2004 as a safe house with the capacity of housing 20 babies.
The heart of the project is to provide temporary safe care to babies and toddlers (aged 0 to 18 months) in need of care and protection, and is done in partnership with the Department of Social Development.
