Tanja de Meillon has been named a Bare Beauty Mrs. South Africa semifinalist for 2022.
Her journey as a semifinalist began on 5 March, when this was announced virtually on Mrs. South Africa’s Instagram profile.
“I am honoured to once again represent the Goldfields. In 1995 I was crowned as the VistaMiss Goldfields first princess,” she says.
“I would love my journey to bring hope to many who have come through hard times, as life has taken me through many battles of my own, and I can relate. Thank you to my supporters through the good and challenging times. I hope to make you proud.”
Tanya is wife to Abe Gouws, mother to three teenagers, a beauty therapist, a business woman, an author and a musician (trumpeter) – and together with her husband is in the second year of an international business leadership school training programme.
“What encouraged me most to enter, was that this competition is really a self-development programme for married everyday women, to become the best version of themselves and take that power to go and be what the world around them needs.
“The emphasis is not on the crown, but on tackling the challenge to go past the limits placed upon oneself.”
