The public has been warned about a massive sinkhole in Cactus Street, Doorn, just after the Impala Street crossing.
It poses a real danger to pedestrians and motorists alike, and a vehicle has already been claimed by the chasm.
René Steyn, ward councillor, says the municipality is in the process of fixing the hole.
“The problem is that the sinkhole is not clearly marked, and the area is not well-lit. Especially at night it causes a life-threatening situation,” says Steyn.
