The Lejweleputswa District Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit is requesting community assistance in tracing a suspected rapist who is still on the loose after an incident that occurred on 28 August 2019.
According to the victim, who lives in Nyakallong, Allanridge, the man approached her from behind while she was walking in the Odendaalsrus CBD at about 17:45. He told her to keep quiet or he would stab her with a knife. He then took her to a shack in Kutlwanong, where he allegedly raped her several times, making her sleep in the shack with him.
The next morning at about 05:00 she was allowed to dress so that she can be taken to her home in Allanridge. When they eft the shack, and while they were at the open space in K10, Kutlwanong, a fight ensued between them and she managed to disarm him of the knife he was carrying and stabbed him. She reported that the suspect fell on the ground and she ran away to the nearest shack for assistance which led to her arriving at the police station to report her case.

Ntholi has released an identikit of the suspect. He is a black man, dark in complexion, height of about 1.7 metres, slender body build and aged between 30-35 years. He was wearing a sky blue jersey, redshirt, blue pair of jeans and white Adidas sneakers. “At the time of commission of this horrible crime. He was using a pocket knife to threaten the victim,” says Brig Montsatsi Makhele.
