A man has died after a severe sjambok beating. He was found lying unconscious in Philander Street, Bronville, with multiple scars on his body.
On Wednesday, 12 March, at about 22:30 the police were summoned to the scene where they found an unidentified African male aged between 20 and 30 years. He was taken to the hospital for medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries.
The SAPS are appealing to the public for any information that will enable them to identify the deceased man.
