The Embrace Ambition organisation donated eight pairs of school shoes to needy children in Thabong.

On 26 February they visited the Leboneng Special School.

This organisation has made it its mission to help children with disabilities who are in need.

“The school highly appreciates the work that we have done. We are still going to work hard to see that we bring change to the community,” says Serame Phakisi, chairperson of the group.

Phakisi says the organisation wants to introduce a programme to collect and distribute sanitary towels to assist the girls of the school.

“Members of the community who would like to donate sanitary towels can contact us on 067-850-9778,” invites Phakisi.

“On Friday, 23 February, we visited four schools where we handed out the schools shoes.

“We started by visiting the Tsakane Primary School, where we donated two pairs of school shoes.

“Then the Embonisweni Primary School, where we donated two pairs of school shoes; followed by Leboneng Special School, where we donated three pairs of school shoes.

“At the school in Hani Park we donated one pair of school shoes to a needy learner.”

These donations were all made by Phakisi and Mamokete Komako, coach of the special games for people with a disability, and a department head at Leboneng.
