Kingdom Ministries in Welkom will be running a course, Griefshare, to help people who have lost someone in death to help them in their grief journey.
It will start on Wednesday evening, 5 March, and will run for 13 weeks.
Liz Botha of Kingdom Ministries says this kind of action is much needed in the community and they serve anyone who wants to join.
“Many of us have experienced grief in the past, and possibly still very new, whether it’s a spouse, child, parents, other family members and friends.
It is a difficult, traumatic, emotional and sad time and one just withdraws from society and hope it will go away.
There is help and a support group to help you to accept and cope with the loss of your loved one. Griefshare is a Christian based course and each week you are given tools to help cope and handle your grief. Some of the lessons we deal with omc;ude: Is this normal, loneliness and sadness, anger, regrets, stuck in grief, what do I live for now and others,” says Botha.
The course will run at Kingdom Ministries, corner of Arrarat and Tempest in Dagbreek, Welkom. The course will take place every Wednesday, at 18:30. The course is open to anyone who needs help. The course costs R250 which includes a comprehensive manual to keep and is vital part of the healing process.
