The Virginia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Soca) has been blessed with people and businesses in their area who have stepped up and are supplying much needed repairs to the infrastructure and property.

“WBHO SOLA visited us some time ago and assessed all the dire maintenance needs. They showed up and fixed what we did not even know was going to fall in and on top of us.
“Our office has a brand-new look. Cracks were not just concealed – walls were taken down and rebuilt.
“Our precon wall was hanging on a thread, but not anymore,”
says Dot Macleod of the Virginia SPCA.
WBHO SOLA is a collaborative effort between WBHO Construction and SOLA Group in the renewable energy sector.
“Thank you, Anele Tshevu, and your dedicated team who spent so many days fixing and painting. Our ward councillor, Hansie du Plessis, played a major role and brought our plight to the attention of WBHO SOLA. We are so proud of our community.”
Macleod says they are also grateful to Ernest Strydom who stepped up to the rescue and assisted with the treatment room, kennels, and other odd jobs.
“This is what makes a community strong,” she says.
