British poet Dame Edith Sitwell once said “winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.”
Last week the wick dropped dramatically, with minimum temperatures dipping as far below freezing as -6 °C.
This week, however, sees temperatures levelling out again with the coldest minimum temperatures recorded at 0 °C today through Wednesday, and 4 °C on Thursday and Friday.
Day temperatures bob between 23 °C and 24 °C today and Tuesday, but woe to Friday’ forecast with Goldfielders in for an unpleasant surprise with a minimum of 4 °C, and a day temperature of 16 °C.
The probability of rain for Friday is 46%, with a wind speed of 18.5 km/h. Definitely the chilliest day of the week.
On Thursday there is a 25% chance of rain with a wind speed of 9.3 km/h. Day temperatures are forecast at 17 °C, with a minimum of 4 °C.
For the rest of the week the wind speed ranges between 7 km/h and 11.1 km/h.
