For 21 years Vistahas been the main media sponsor of the annual Medi­Clinic/VistaEskom Athletics Club FS Road Race.

“It’s an honour for the club to announce that Vistawill be supporting this landmark annual event in road running in South Africa,” says Hilde du Plessis, event organiser.

“This year our theme is ‘Teamwork makes the dream work’ and the support that we receive from Vistatestifies to this. Thank you, Vista,” she says.

Entries have opened for this exciting race that will take place on Friday, 25 August. Entries will be open up to the day of the event.

“The race/walk represents a festival and an unique opportunity to socialise and to build team spirit, not only for the women, but for family and friends. This is a race to look forward in celebration of National Women’s month. The 2023 slogan and theme sum up the feelings of this year’s race – Teamwork makes the dream work, a motivation to be successful in entering this popular event,” says Du Plessis.

For the third consecutive year Vista’s Ryno Kirsten has designed the official race banner.

“Our 21st anniversary celebration is done in conjunctuion with the main sponsor Mediclinic, and the main media sponsor Vista.

“We are also supported by our medical service provider, ER24, PKF Auditors, Lesedi ICT, Office National, Virgin Active, Battery Centre, Cito’s, Capital Sounds support and all of the other sponsors who will be part of the event to make this year extra special,” she says.

The event also acts as a fundraiser for the Charlotte Moll Haven, CANSA and SANBS.

Entries can be done either on entryninja.com, per hand at (office hours only), Office National in Ararat road, PKF Auditors, Lesedi ICT in Stateway and at Virgin Active on 21, 22, 23 and 24 August from 14:00 to 19:00.

This year there are three fun, walk, active races (In Her Honour) over 1,5 km. These include the wheelchair/disabled persons, children (7 to 15 years), toddlers (3-6) and Masters (men and women).

These races will take place between 16:30 and 17:00.

At 18:00 the 5 km fun walk/dash for women only (For Joy), starts and at 18:30 the 5 km open for men and women (For Love) starts.

Entry forms are available at the Vistaoffice and at the main Welkom Mediclinic.

There will be new and uniquely designed participation medal for all finishers.
