The award-winning celebrity TV star Themba Sibanyoni, also known as Themba Kop, is one of the national celebrities and guests coming to the Bronville Sport and Arts Festival on 2 July.
The event will be held at the Bronville Stadium.
Themba Kop is known all over South Africa and in neighbouring countries, mainly for his gangster role as Danger in the TV series DiepCity. He has also appeared in many others, like Gomora and City Ses’la.
The festival in Bronville comprises different arts and sporting codes. Netball, rugby and football tournaments, as well as an outdoor beauty pageant and an outdoor fashion show with cars, are part of the line-up, to mention a few.
Music performances are also in the mix.
“This is currently Welkom’s biggest multi-sport and arts event,” says DJ Taaibos, convenor.
Other celebrities who will attend include DJ What What, the Premier Soccer League (PSL) star Anver Esterhuizen, Masego Diseko and DJ Taaibos.
The artists billed to perform include DJ Sammy T, Gavin Da Deejay, Jay Musiq, Mega Pipe, Bambino and Dj Pro Deep.
“This annual festival is also a community development and youth empowerment programme, which is why professional scouts in different sporting codes are also invited to come scout for talent from youngsters in and around the community of Bronville and Welkom as a whole,” says Taaibos.
