We believe that the circumstances in the world and especially in our country force us as a church to refocus.
In the past few years, great changes have taken place in our country.
These changes also had and still have a major influence on the church and its calling.
Many of us as believers, and especially church leaders, have a big problem adapting to the changes that are taking place.
Thousands of us as leaders and members are still trapped in an old frame of reference.
The religious institutions did not recognise Jesus as the long-promised messiah. They were so caught up in their religious practices that they did not recognise God in human form among them.
Not even the mighty miracles He performed could have persuaded them that He was the one prophesied to come.
Could it be that the changes that are taking place are God’s way of refocusing us as believers and the church on what really matters: millions of lost people. The most terrifying thought is that we will once again not recognise Him in our midst who is guiding us to gather the greatest harvest of all time.
Some of us find ourselves in a sinking boat and are not willing to jump overboard.
Perhaps you feel the price is too great to change, but I know there may be only one believer, one leader who experiences how the Holy Spirit confirms what has been living in your heart for a long time.
Take the first step of faith to change and God will do the rest. Shalom.
