Today is the annual Madiba 67 minute walk/run for charity, hosted by The Rotary Club of Goldfields Sunset at the Goldfields Mall entrance 2 by the Rhino.
Registration will open at 12:00 at the mall information desk, and the walk and run start at 17:30.
Entry fees are: 10km: R100, 2km and 5km: R50. Temporary licences are available at R70.
“All participants are required to also donate at least one non-perishable food item, although more would be appreciated. If you do note have a non-perishable item, then please donate R20 towards the food collection.
Funds raised will be used to purchase food, and food collected will be handed out on National Woman’s Day to needy families in our area,” says Dulcie Harris, race convenor.
“The Sunset Rotary are grateful to Goldfields Mall, Goldfields Casino, Goudveld Multisport and OFM for their support. Welkom Rugby Club, Rovers Rugby Club and Goldfields Casino will be hosting the water points along the route,” says Harris.
