Gathering imparts lessons to high schoolers’ benefit

The Safer South Africa Foundation (SSAF) will commence its Communities and Justice programme at the Virginia High School on 1 August with a briefing that will be attended by all educators and 100 selected learners.


The Safer South Africa Foundation (SSAF) will commence its Communities and Justice programme at the Virginia High School on 1 August with a briefing that will be attended by all educators and 100 selected learners.

Pitso Mereko, provincial coordinator of the SSAF, says the initiative will take place from 1 to 22 August.

Speakers at the event will include representatives of the police, the Department of Police, Roads and Transport, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC), the Banking Association of South Africa, and social workers of the Department of Social Development and the Department of Correctional Services.
