Four men will each serve 12 years in prison after a clothing store was robbed.
The four, Bongani Nyangwa (21), Amogelang Letsapa (20), Lesego Mosala (23) and Lebogang Kgosiyatsela (26), were sentenced to 12 years on the counts of robbery, and three years for kidnapping. The sentences will run concurrently.
They were sentenced in the Wesselsbron Magistrates’ Court on 24 June.
The men entered a clothing store in Wesselsbron, where one pretended to buy airtime while another kept watch at the door. The other two then forced employees and customers inside the storeroom, where they were restrained.
