The Women’s Network of Lejweleputswa District and Welkom held an event to empower women on their morale and the attributes of love.

The event was held on 3 March at the Indiana Spur restaurant, under the theme of “Love”.

Capt. Nomathemba Motlomelo was the programme director, and Capt. Florence Mphatsoe opened with a prayer.

Motlomelo emphasised that women work on themselves, love and support one another, and be honest to one another.

The guest speaker, Annah Tshiu from Social Development, said women, colloquially, have different colours to describe them, and who they are.

“There are black diamonds, coconuts, and yellow bones. We as women are like pyramids and must build, assist, support, and love each other,” said Tshiu.

The women in attendance were told to share ideas in order to build each other up.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Capt. Moqibelo Mothoalo.
