The Allanridge Men’s Forum visited schools in Allanridge and Naykallong to warn the learners against ill discipline, gangsterism drugs and substance abuse.

During the visit, on Tuesday, 9 August, Past. Gordon Williams, chairperson of the forum, told learners that they must not attend school to cause a disturbances, to disrespect the teachers, to fight, to bully others, or children and to become involved in gangsterism.

“Parents do not send you to school to waste time, but to get an education and have a better life after school,” said Williams.

He encouraged learners ofAt the Allanridge Combined School, the Dihwai and Mokhothu Primary SchoolWilliams encouraged learners to study andso that they can proceed to high school.

At the Mosala and La Wesi Secondary Schools, Williams told the learners that there are many opportunities to proceed with their education, but only through hard workthey have to work hard to pass well.

He told the Gr. 12 learners at both of the secondary schools to maintain the high pass rate of the Grade 12 class of 2021 and to keep both schools among the district’s top 3 in the district.

“Education will open doors and defeat poverty and give you a better independent life. Alcohol, drugs, Substance abuse will take you nowhere in life. Gangsterism will take you to prison,” said Williamshigh school .
