A Foreign national man is wanted for rape in Welkom.
The police have launched a manhunt for the unknown man with a Lesotho accent who raped a 28-year-old woman on 24 September 2023.
The woman alleges that she was walking from a club in Welkom CBD waiting for a taxi when suddenly an unknown man grabbed her and forcefully walked with her towards a mall and threatened to kill her.
The suspect allegedly undressed her and raped her. A case of rape was opened.
An identikit of the suspect was compiled, he is dark in complexion, chubby and about 1,7 m in height.
He was wearing a black beanie, black jersey, blue jeans and black sneakers.
