Students of the RCFA Bhubezi Fight Club have completed their recent grading and progressed to their next belt levels, marking an important milestone in their martial arts journey.

This grading came after a challenging period for the club. Earlier this month, a temporary venue access incident forced a three week break, putting training and preparations on hold.

Despite the setback, the team refused to be discouraged or derailed.

They returned with renewed focus and resilience, adapting their preparations to include outdoor training sessions to ensure they remained sharp and well prepared.

“With spirits high and momentum regained, the team is now back to full training mode, intensifying their preparations for the upcoming Best of the Best Tournament, to be held in Vereeniging on 5 July and Namib War Tournament that will be held in Windhoek, Namibia,” says head instructor, Sensei Joe Ralejoe.

He says in an exciting development, three students progressed from the beginner to the advanced division.

Gofaone Sebati, Siyabonga Gina and Brandon Kelly obtained their 1st Yellow Belt and all three form part of the Junior South African team that will be representing South Africa at the WKO World Kickboxing Championships in Barnsley, United Kingdom in August.

Ralejoe (3rd Degree Black Belt) expressed pride in the students, staying that their discipline and hard work have truly paid off.

“We faced a tough period as a club, but their ability to stay focused and motivated shines through in the results we’ve seen. This is more than a grading, it’s a reminder of the resilience that martial arts instills in all of us.”

Gofaone Sebati, Siyabonga Gina and Brandon Kelly have all passed second Blue Belt, first Yellow Belt, and Mohale Notha White Belt and Red Belt.
