The House Of Azan Foundation hosted a closed charity event at the Mojaho Primary School in Thabong on 28 July.

The team, under the leadership of Masabata Makara, Mpho Mbalisa and Mohapi Maphale, donated clothing to 43 children at the Mojaho Primary School.

They also handed over a donation of 100 sanitary products to the girls.

They were supported by local artists; the likes of P.H. Ngwana Magriza, Blvck Ex Entertainment, Dj Lilo De Vibe as well as Stovell Khalipha performed for the learners during the event.

The Mojaho learners also performed a Kofifi Dance piece choreographed by Maphale for teachers and guests.

Mbalisa directed poets and monologues for the guests.

“We believe that more artists will join us and awaken the spirit of art in Lejweleputswa.

“We as Azan Foundation hope to receive funding or sponsors so that we can continue working for the community and also offer art skills to the leaners,” says Mbalisa of House of Azan.

Awareness of the foundation and their work is growing in the township.

“We hope that more people will donate to the cause and other artists will work with us to uplift learners in schools,” he says.

Another member of the foundation, Makara, says there is hope in Thabong.

“We believe in it and we can see it. To donate to our cause please email us at houseofazanb@gmail.com,” she says.
