The Matjhabeng Local Municipality and the Matjhabeng-based Sebenza Engineering Projects, hosted advance truck driving training for municipal employees as part of Transport Month,
The training was held at the Phakisa Race Course and included practical simulation training.
This is the first time that a course like this was held for employees.
The theme of the event was “Going Back to Basics to professionalize our landscape.”
“We aim to empower our operators in the importance of looking after their fleet, keeping it in good condition and in compliance with law enforcement. The drivers need to be well equipped with knowledge and information about the vehicles they are handling, as part of performance and consequence management,” says Thaduloxo Khalipha, executive Mayor of Matjhabeng.
